How time flies when you’re having fun.  It’s that time again for the Progressive International Motorcycle Show to start revving there engines.  Dates are set and every year this show keeps growing and getting better and better.  If you’re in the hunt for a new bike or even want to test ride the new 2015 bikes then it’s time to get down to the Progressive International Motorcycle show.  Raise your motorcycle IQ down at the main stage where over two dozen free seminars are held by industry leaders and celebrity bikers.  For the custom lover check out the talent that comes here from all over for the J & P Cycles build off that is  top notch.  The custom rides never cease to amaze me and the competition is stiff.  From old school cool to the newest technologies one can incorporate into a build is a phenomenal site.  There is always tons of vendors showing their latest gadgets and clothing available for purchase.  If you need anything they probably have it!

Parking is easy when you ride in all cagers (cars) will have to park further out.  One cool thing is the free gear check in area for all your helmets and jackets that way you can be worry free and ready to hang out.

Harley-Davidson recalling 66,421 motorcycles

DETROIT (AP) — Harley-Davidson is recalling 66,421 Touring and CVO Touring motorcycles from the 2014 model year because their front wheels can lock up without warning.

Motorcycles with anti-lock brakes built between July 1, 2013, and May 7, 2014, are included in the recall.

Harley-Davidson Inc. says the front brake line can get pinched between the fuel tank and the frame. That could cause front brake fluid pressure to increase, increasing the risk that the front wheel could lock up while riding.

The company knows of five crashes and two minor injuries related to the defect, which it discovered last fall through warranty claims.

Harley-Davidson will notify owners later this month. Dealers will replace the brake lines for free and attach straps to hold them in place.  Make sure you check to see if your new Harley is on the list before you start your trip for the summer.  Have a safe ride and we’ll see you out on the road.

Four Harley-Davidson models not selling as expected, will be discontinued for 2014. They are: the Sportster XR1200X, the Softail Blackline, the Electra Glide Classic FLHTC, the Road King (FLHRC dropped in the US – FLRH abandoned outside the US) 2 models are temporarily discontinued because they are going to be completely redesigned and request new tooling. the Road Glide Custom FLTRX, the Road Glide Ultra tourer FLTRU. No word yet on the new models to be released for model-year 2014.
